Art as a healing medium

The year 2011 was a mixture of strong happiness and challenges. A new granddaughter was born and both Mothers were in surgeries to mend broken hips. We had a tragic death in the family which is just sinking in with my brother and nieces. I have been able to make cards and putter around with some collage. After encouragement from many of you, I was able to create art for my soul. . I have been frozen for ideas and even the simpliest of creative tasks were impossible to complete, even less attempt. Reading about your challenges..health,financial, emotional, and marriage helped me express my feelings. Thank you for your encouragement, laughs and virtual hugs. I appreciate you all.

Art is wonderful therapy. I hope this new year brings you much joy.

Love the daffodils in the jars tied with burlap and ribbon. So fresh.

I too am finding comfort through art. May the mean season be over soon for the both of us.

BettyAnn I can attest to the fact that we are surrounded by a caring blogging community!Always there when our hearts need a bit of comfort. Our creativity does go into hiding through grief or pain and eventually returns to us and in doing so slowly our light comes back. Keep shining bright dear lady!hugs Anna
