Winter is back!!! the pic at the right was taken in December, but today we had 10 cm. of the white stuff...brrrrrrrr...ML and I went window shopping and such in Ft. Langley...touched lovely vases, smelled french soap and ohhed and ahhed over french design..had lots of fun ..thanks lil sis...

Hello Spring

I hope that spring is around the corner. It teases us with a week of sunshine, then back to grey gloomy days...Busy week-end supper with C. to thank Al and the boys and Mom for their hard work...Sunday drive out to the back of Chilliwack Mt. never been there before..much like Saltspring Is. lambs, and valleys and creeks..large homes ..small plots and some hippie-hideouts..like it.. with some of the roads washed out from the winter slide, not sure if we could find our way off the mountain..lovely day..back to mondays..hope all had a good weekend bye and love

The Day After

Wow had great fun at a Valentine's dinner and dance yesterday...friends R and LL invited us..great food..great music and great friends.. wore-out my shoes and feet dancing to soul music..but after a late pm went to bed at 2:30 am..A and I went for a walk in the sun and blues skies..yummy choc frosty...nap for 2 hrs..tomato soup and all is well in the universe..new week coming..have been away from my art for awhile..new views new scenes...have a good week!!

Friday the 13

Well here we are at the 13th..great day A and I walked into town to do our chores..snooped around the bookstroe..yummy new titles..had a snack .. a nap... laundry..A made some margaritas..talked to my cuz...made dinner...now playing on the computer...my cuz is not happy about valentine's day..it is an industry..so let's give love to our friends and family no matter what the date and ...on thursday A and I walked 9.2km out along the Fraser River in Langley the fort-to-fort walk..still some snow along the way..very few animals..wow talk about crashing into sleep last pm...we are going to a fun dinner and dance tomorrow with friends..music is soul train style...more fun take care all!!!

Monday Musings

Mondays are funny..either end of weekend or beginning of a new start?..A and I went driving and walking in the Fraser Valley...started out with snow flurries and ended with warm sunshine...took the car ferry to Maple Ridge..wandered and walked and of course lunch was a DG cone..Value Village in MR found a little gauzy pink apron..A asked why and I said...cuz it is pretty..cuz it was 50% of $1.99..oh well..finished reading again order of the phoenix..well have a great evening..take care

Sunday stroll

A and I took the train into Vancouver's Chinatown..I just love that place..started going when I was 16..thought it was the most exotic place ever..wandered..some of the stores have shut down due to the downturn in the economy..still the same smells and sights of pork and duck hanging in the windows, and the dried everything, like shrimp, mushrooms, every kind of fish imaginable..stopped in a number of little shops, bamboo, baskets, and calligraphy supplies..I purchased a stone stamp with the Chinese characters "Love for Peace"..sounded lovely..came home and we had lemon chicken and potato salad..cheers everyone...hope you had a lovely week-end!!

Beginnings..Feb 09 and I have decided that yes I can..my new motto..thanks Obama..went out with CF today..off to her meeting and while waiting walked in bright sunshine in New Westminster...old shops, boarded shops, smelly, broken-down, rising up and old-new and new-old like Kiss of a Frog..lovely new old fashioned dress for little girls..funny how you are sentimental about things that i wouldn't wear when I was that age..CF aqnd I had coffe and shared a yummy choc torte at the Vienna Bakery..no calories when you share...easier to help her be more more assertive when i am chicken little in disguise!!
