SUMMER IS HERE

Well, spring is still on and Vancouver has been hit with a blast of summer and i am loving it..lots of swimming in the complex pool, sitting outside and enjoying my breakfast, watching the roses bloom and the cats are loving sunning themselves in the grass. Today the temp is going to go to 34c/98F...finished my Mom's 85th birthday scapbook and it look great..Mom got stung by a yellow-jacket and the swelling travelling up her arm, but she is feeling better today with ice and benedrile..must go and vacuum before the day gets too hot..byby..

Sunday Hellos!!

What a lovely weekend..went to The Glen in washington over the weekend..spent time walking , swimming and yakking with good friends..there must be a special place for good friends who stand by you even when you are being a poop....Our son and his fiancee are out looking for a special site for their wedding reception next year..who would have thought that the little boy who drove into hedges with his bike , kept his soccer and football gear "fermenting" in his room is ready to move on to the next stage of his life..maybe his Mom is having a harder time of changing gears that he is!!! take care friends...

Rainy Tuesday

Good am all..feeling back to my old self..thanks to all friends for listening it sure helps..am working on my Mom's birthday book.sometimes I just think too much..must just get on with it...am too concerned with it being perfect..Mom will be happy to see it finished and that her daughter made it for her..perfection is a sin it holds you back from being creative..must go back to the enjoyment of messy and spontanous..last night went plant shopping and Al hung up some beautiful hanging baskets for me..that's all I really need..friends, love and plants..take care friends!!

Long Time No See

Went to our trailer in the woods, this past week-end..bumped into a former workmate-Karen- was so suprised, had her on my mind -she is such a sweet person, lovely little girls-will be able to see them again on the American July long weekend..my friend Lynda called from Alaska, she in on her 21 day cruise from China to Alaska to Vancouver, and then my Aunt Helen called from Seattle..people must sense that I need some comfort from my friends..my daugter Jenn had a miscarriage and I am sad..when they are little we can fix things for them..but not now..just love over the ph lines..take care friends..

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day dear friends...Will be visiting MIL and MOM tomorrow..breakfast with one and lunch with another..lucky to have such great and caring Mothers..enjoy the day ..take care friends

Simple thoughts..simple gifts given freely bring joy to the giver..pretty apron given to a new friend in Florida brings smiles to the faces of strangers..maybe they are no strangers just friends awaiting kind words and gestures..feeling melancholy..best to get outdoors and smell fresh air and enjoy sunshine..thanks for listening friends

Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!! Each of us needs to pause and think about small ways each of us can help this poor earth..I am going to use alternative bags instead of plastic..I will remember to bring and use these bags..So many people are fighting cancer..this must be the result of the earth being used as a garbage dump..remember Love Canal, New York..take care of your patch of earth.
